I worked on the Gemmas to Johor Electrified Double Track Project and was project manager for the Trackwork subcontract. The scope of work included 200km of new track, construction of depot and sidings and temporary track diversions. As well as delivery of the project my main responsibilities included rebuilding the team, establishing better client and stakeholder relationships and negotiating a 15 month programme extension. I also implemented an alternative methodology to flash butt welding to allow for a greater number of work fronts. I managed track construction teams, plant and machinery team and welding teams to timely delivery of long welded rail.
